High-voltage switchgear in operation or standby must be inspected regularly. Each unit should clearly define the inspection time, frequency, and content for each shift.
Manned substations should be inspected once before each shift change, and at least twice normally; a nighttime inspection with lights off should be conducted once a week, and the station manager should conduct a monitoring inspection once a month.
Unmanned substations should be inspected at least once every two days; at least two nighttime inspections with lights off should be conducted monthly.
Special inspections should be conducted based on weather, load conditions, equipment health status, and other power requirements.
